Fairfax will host the second year of popular family-friendly health and wellness festival Fairfax Body & Soul on Saturday, September 25th from 11-6. The event takes place at Peri Park & the Fairfax Women's Club at 46 Park Street (around the corner from Bolinas Park known as the location of the Fairfax Fest main stage) in Fairfax. Tickets are $5 at the door and free for children under 12. Free event tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis to those patronizing Fairfax Chamber of Commerce businesses.
Musical acts include national top 3 award-winning a cappella sensation Solstice, Jim Talley (of Tres Mojo, as seen with Vinyl, Kimock, Franti), Todd Boston (of Urban Nature, as heard at Earthdance & on NPR) and the Fairfax All-Stars (featuring members of Big Brother & the Holding Company & Tom Finch Group). Just added: internationally-known conscious comedian Swami Beyondananda and Liz Stires (Jerry Garcia Band) and Kettle of Fish.
At Fairfax Body and Soul people can partake of mellow music, get a relaxing massage, take a cooking class, learn martial arts and more all in the same place. There will be a series of indoor and outdoor workshops and speakers all day.
